‘Cosy’

After all my excitement about the versatility of my new 28mm prime I found myself struggling for width during the recent snow-showers. I have been carrying one of my older DSLRs with my ‘niftyish fiftyish’ mounted on it since Christmas and, although I’m starting to get the results I’m after, I haven’t internalised what the world looks like through it yet. I had to sit at someone else’s table to get this shot and ask the guy on the left’s permission to shoot it. Not bad for a photographer who likes to keep a low profile…
The prime was of course the last thing I bought at my local Jessops before it closed, putting a number of friends out of work, robbing me of a lunchtime haunt, and leaving me with four medium format cameras and no local means of getting C41 120 speedily developed. I have yet to pick a new lab and so the accidental camera which arrived in great shape has yet to shoot a frame.
